Pets are family, too, so how nice to include them when our families come together to form anew! A client had contacted me to paint her lovely bulldog for a second time. Her beloved dog had recently passed, and she so wanted the dog to be in her upcoming wedding. So I repainted her dog in a new pose, and we added a flower crown in the bridal colors. Now she can hold the framed portrait in her wedding photos so her sweet baby can at least attend in spirit.

I began painting in 2015, and my very first subject was my dog, Smudge. Which seems appropriate, since he is a dachshund and many of the great artists such as Picaso and Andy Warhol have owned and painted the dachshunds they adored! Currently I'm working in scratchboard, acrylics and watercolors. My work is constantly evolving; which is an excuse for being indecisive and not settling on a medium of choice.
