Description
A delicate hummingbird floats over a flowering bush while feeding. I was out on a photo journey in Phoenix and had just come upon a cactus wren building its nest, but had spooked him before I could ready my camera. So I picked a spot not far from the nest to set up my camera and wait. The wren wasn't in a hurry to return, though, and I started daydreaming. A flash of feathers awoke me, however, to find this gorgeous hummingbird now in front of me! So my patience paid off, but not how I expected.
