I have German heritage on both sides of my family, with my mom being from Bavaria, and my paternal grandmother hailing from northern Germany. The tea cups are from my paternal Great Grandmother, who came to America at age 8, but prized her collection of teacups and saucers from Germany. And the beer steins are from Bavaria, picked up on visits to my maternal relatives who still live there! And, yes, Laurel, I did paint this for the contest you had months ago, haha, and I'm just finishing this now!

I began painting in 2015, and my very first subject was my dog, Smudge. Which seems appropriate, since he is a dachshund and many of the great artists such as Picaso and Andy Warhol have owned and painted the dachshunds they adored! Currently I'm working in scratchboard, acrylics and watercolors. My work is constantly evolving; which is an excuse for being indecisive and not settling on a medium of choice.
