This painting is a joint effort between my daughter (Melissa Jones) and I. I was going through boxes of items she had brought home to store after college, and came upon her sketch book. Here, I found this almost completed ink drawing that I thought was fantastic. I asked her if she would mind if I finished up the few areas left and painted it, and she agreed! So most of this lovely drawing is to her credit - I just did the "coloring". And since we both worked on it and it has a tribal look, I thought the title "Many Women" fit well!
Hello, and thank you for visiting! I really appreciate that you took the time to not only view my artwork, but also wanted to learn more about me, the artist - wow! I began painting in 2015, and my very first subject was my dog, Smudge. Which seems appropriate, since he is a dachshund and many of the great artists such as Picaso and Andy Warhol have owned and painted the dachshunds they adored! Currently I'm working in scratchboard, acrylics and watercolors. My work is constantly evolving; which is an excuse for being indecisive and not settling on a medium of choice.
