I love how large breed dogs just take over the whole couch...or bed! This illustrative watercolor was done as a commission for clients who had a large black lab that loved lounging on their leather sofa. This endearing painting won first place in the Labs Only contest in Sept. 2019, and placed in a 3-way tie for 2nd place in the "Most Viewed" contest on FAA, among over 1200 paintings submitted.

Hello, and thank you for visiting! I really appreciate that you took the time to not only view my artwork, but also wanted to learn more about me, the artist - wow! I began painting in 2015, and my very first subject was my dog, Smudge. Which seems appropriate, since he is a dachshund and many of the great artists such as Picaso and Andy Warhol have owned and painted the dachshunds they adored! Currently I'm working in scratchboard, acrylics and watercolors. My work is constantly evolving; which is an excuse for being indecisive and not settling on a medium of choice.
